ר' נחוניא בן הקנה היה מתפלל בכניסתו לבית המדרש וביציאתו תפלה קצרה אמר לו מה טיבה של תפלה זו אמר להן בכניסתי אני מתפלל שלא תארע תקלה על ידי וביציאתי אני נותן הודייה על חלקי:

Rabbi Nechonia son of the Kanah would pray a short prayer upon his entering the Beit Midrash and upon his leaving it (They) said to him, what is the nature of this prayer? He said to them upon my enterance I pray that an error should not occur due to me and upon my leaving I give thanks for my share:
