מלך לא דן ולא דנין אותו לא מעיד ולא מעידין אותו לא חולץ ולא חולצין את אשתו לא מייבם ולא מייבמין את אשתו רבי יהודה אומר אם רצה לחלוץ ולייבם זכור לטוב אמרו לו אם רצה אין שומעין לו ואין נושאין את אלמנתו רבי יהודה אומר נושא הוא המלך אלמנתו של מלך שכן מצינו בדוד שנשא אלמנתו של שאול שנאמר ואתנה לך את בית אדוניך ואת נשי אדוניך בחקיך:

Mishna. How did they bring up the first-fruits? All of the cities which were in the region gathered to the main city of the region and slept in the city square, they did not go into the houses. Early in the morning the appointed official would say “Rise! Let us go up to Zion to the House of the Lord our God!” (comp. Jeremiah 31:5, Mishna Bikkurim 3:2):
