מי שהיה ראשו ורובו בסוכה ושולחנו בתוך הבית בית שמאי פוסלין ובית הלל מכשירין אמרו בית הלל לבית שמאי מעשה שהלכו זקני בית שמאי וזקני ב"ה לבקר את יוחנן בן החורוני ומצאוהו ראשו ורובו בסוכה ושולחנו בתוך הבית אמרו להן בית שמאי משם ראייה אף הן אמרו לו אם כך היית נוהג לא קיימ' מצו' סוכה מימיך:

Mishna. How did they bring up the first-fruits? All of the cities which were in the region gathered to the main city of the region and slept in the city square, they did not go into the houses. Early in the morning the appointed official would say “Rise! Let us go up to Zion to the House of the Lord our God!” (comp. Jeremiah 31:5, Mishna Bikkurim 3:2):
