א <strong><big>משנה:</big></strong> אֵלּוּ דְּבָרִים מִתְעַשְּׂרִין דְּמַאי בְּכָל מָקוֹם. הַדְּבֵילָה וְהַתְּמָרִים וְהֶחָרוּבִין הָאוֹרֶז וְהַכַּמּוֹן. הָאוֹרֶז שֶׁבְּחוּצָה לָאָרֶץ כָּל הַמִּשְׁתַּמֵּשׁ מִמֶּנּוּ פָטוּר.
1 <strong>MISHNAH:</strong> The following must be tithed as <i>demay</i> everywhere: Fig cakes, dates, carobs, rice, and cumin. Rice from outside the Land is free for everybody who uses it.
