Take out one in between, one in between, and make a bald spot 16 by 16 that can be tended by eight cubits. How do you treat it? Itself and the area to tend it within a <i>bet seah</i>, or without the area to tend it? If you take it with the area to tend it within the <i>bet seah</i>, then 348 are missing. If you take it without the area to tend it, there is an excess of 452<sup>18</sup>. You might say, they are separated as single ones. You might say, they are closer together: we have stated only “10 per <i>bet seah</i>;” you could not state that.
