Jerusalem Talmud Ketubot
MISHNAH: If he did not write her “the male children you will have from me shall inherit the amount of your ketubah in addition to their part with their brothers237If the wife should die before the husband and the husband inherits from her then, if the husband dies, the sons of his several wives can first claim their mother’s ketubah (the ≥200 zuz from the husband and all the dowry noted in the document) from the estate; only the remainder is divided between the sons (with an eventual first-born son taking two parts.)”; he is obligated, for this is a stipulation enforced by the court.
